Chronic Pain Syndrome is treatable without toxic drugs. Chronic pain is often defined as any pain that lasts longer than 3 months.
Chronic pain can affect a person’s day-to-day life and mental health, and often makes one feel helpless.
According the Mayo Clinic: “Chronic pain is a serious health condition. Like any long-term health problem, the condition often leads to complications beyond your physical symptoms, such as new or worsened depression, anxiety and difficulty sleeping. Chronic pain can make it more difficult to keep up at work, manage tasks at home and attend social gatherings, leading to problems in your relationships and financial instability. Some research suggests that the more severe your pain, the more serious these problems.”
The Mayo Clinic lists drugs used by physicians to treat chronic pain. These include: NSAIDs, antidepressants, anti-seizure drugs, acetaminophen, and opioids. All these drugs have serious potential side effects.
Symptoms of chronic pain syndrome
Symptoms vary from person to person, but may include any or a combination of:
• Low back pain
• Joint pain
• Muscle aches
• Burning or tingling pain in different parts of the body
• Jolts of sharp pain
Pain is complex and causes of chronic pain may be difficult to diagnose. However, there is one lab test that is helping give doctors the insight they need to help improve patient outcomes.
Biomarkers are very important in medicine and are used every day. Biomarkers can be measured and provide insight into a person’s health such as lab tests, blood pressure and temperature.
Ethos Laboratories has developed a new lab test called the Pain Biomarker Assessment, which helps doctors identify biochemical imbalances that may play a role in a patient’s chronic pain.
A recent study found that 77% of patients suffering from chronic pain had at least one imbalance. If an imbalance is found, there are safe and effective treatment options available.
Through a simple urine test taken in a doctor’s office the Pain Biomarker Assessment looks at specific biomarkers, to uncover possible biochemical imbalances or conditions that could be impacting a patient’s pain.

Chronic pain may be eliminated by the simple addition of a missing nutrient.
